This is an impressive and rare, estimated 113-carat, all-natural Colombian emerald from the Muzo Mines! The rough specimen is semi-transparent, displaying incredible crystal clarity. A medium green color is seen in this stunning piece with the most incredible natural inclusions. When examining the specimen, we see pyrite flecks (fools gold, along with some gray shale deposits which are commonly found in the mines/mother rock. The emerald showcases a rare single termination. Not all emerald crystals fully form with a smooth, bottom edge which makes this piece all the more interesting. Cabochon emeralds are found on each face of the perfectly formed hexagonal structure.
